Early Production Containment
Services focused on the recovery of components, products and materials which were initially rejected and classified as waste. These processes have the main objective of recovering rejected parts by performing manufacturing processes in addition to what was originally designed so that they correct their faults and can be finally accepted and considered as productive material.
Rework is considered to be those services that are "out" of the original manufacturing process or manufacture of each component. Also considered as rework are those processes that are carried out in duplicate due to quality, assembly or packaging failures. The main objective of the rework or also known as rework services is to make corrections to defects, failures and breaches in the quality requirements established by the client. In addition, rework services are used to recover materials that have been damaged during transportation or handling.
The rework services by their nature are considered (theoretically) as one of the wastes of automotive quality, however, are used on a daily basis due to the economic benefit represented by the correction and recovery of components that are later reincorporated into the production lines.
In addition, rework service costs are (in most cases) lower than the costs of disposing of the materials since the replacement of such components generates over-costs for expedited material shipments, emergency releases, production line stoppages, shipment noncompliance and customer dissatisfaction.
4PL Mexico® is able to implement robust rework processes from our facilities, in supplier plants, in customer plants or in multi-sites complementing the rework services with inspection, verification and/or measurement processes thus ensuring the quality of the components.
Additionally, as part of these services, 4PL Mexico® implements and supports with training activities, training, best practices and if the client requires it with the necessary capital investment for the acquisition of special equipment, general supplies, work tables, supplies, automatic tools, measuring equipment, gauges supply, tool manufacturing and all those infrastructure resources necessary for the optimal performance of rework services.
Reports can be implemented according to the specific needs of each client in which important data, static graphs and process trends are recorded in order to provide the most information to the client for timely and transparent decision making.
